In the nine months I spent in Uganda I had the opportunity to do and experience many aspects of life there. I cared for orphans, prayed with bed ridden hospital patients, ran a volunteer house, assisted in the delivery of
babies, fed hungry village children, and hugged more kids than I can count. I feel so blessed to have had the chance to be involved in so many different areas of ministry.

I feel the Lord was using that time to prepare my heart for what’s to come and I now believe that the Lord is calling me to Africa into full time ministry. Soon, I will be going back to Uganda to put in place a ministry called SERVING HIS CHILDREN.
SHC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (all donations are tax deductable) founded with the intent to “Spread the love of Jesus Christ to every tribe and nation”

"Therefore go and make disciples of every tribe and nation, baptizing then in the name of the Father and of the son and of the holy spirit."
Matthew 28:19.

Our goal will be to bring nutrition, love, and care to the poverty stricken village of Masese, and to be a safe refuge for children and families in need

"When I was hungry you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, when I was naked you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me."
Matt 25:35&36

Initially, the plan is to provide two meals a week for about 450 children in Masese, a slum village outside of the town of Jinja. We will be utilizing readily available food, and seeking help from within the village to prepare food and facilitate the feeding of that many children all at one time.
As we start meeting this basic, vital need and begin gaining the trust and respect of the people, we can minister to them in other ways. Our eventual goal is to start a community health care and gardening program, provide medical clinics and offer a regular bible school and bible based discipleship classes.
The actual feeding program is just the start. Our dream is that we would be able to love and care for the people of Masese as Jesus Christ would have - unconditionally , no matter what the circumstance! It is not very often that people in a third world country have the chance to be shown that kind of love, but we pray that Masese would feel His love shining into every home!

I will be leaving the United States headed for Uganda on June 9th. When I arrive, I’ll be looking for a house and laying ground work to start the SHC project. Our goal is to have all the funding by the end of May, so that I can go and begin putting this program into place!

I went to Uganda by myself last year with the generous support of many people (thank you!) - it was a life changing and growing experience for me. This trip cannot be done alone. It will require the dedication and support of a large group of caring people. My hope is that the Lord will call many of you to partner with SHC as we bring a new light and hope to the village of Masese.

If you feel passionate about meeting the needs of hurting, hungry children in
Africa, please prayerfully consider being a part of Serving His Children. There is definitely a part for you to play as we begin writing a new story of hope for the people in the dirty, impoverished village of Masese.
Will you help us love and care for these children? Will you help find the beauty beneath the dirt?

Our mission: “To serve food to the hungry, hope to the hopeless and rest to the weary. To be a place of refuge, love, safety and encouragement where hope is not just given but becomes a lifestyle. To bring about positive change, through developing local programs and offering life changing mission opportunities.” And that is exactly what we what to do!
